Seggiano Baked Fig Ball
An original addition to any cheese board, this Baked Fig Ball has been expertly crafted in Italy by Seggiano.
A traditional delicacy from the southern Italian city of Cosenza in Calabria, Baked Fig Balls such as this have been used to preserve juicy Dottato figs for years. The well matured figs are dried and slowly cooked in their own juices, and are then shaped into balls, wrapped in clean fig leaves and slow-baked.
A truly delicious delicacy, it is perfectly versatile but pairs especially well with soft sheeps and goats milk cheese.
